Studies shows that reading can help kids build developmental skills of emotional intelligence and empathy. Recognizing the importance of the same, AVN celebrated a Reading Week from 10 to 17 July 2021 for Classes Prep to 8, both in English as well as Hindi language. The aim of this week long activity was to encourage students to discover the joy of reading books of their interest. To facilitate this, online sessions were arranged wherein students were given opportunity of individual as well as group reading. The stories were carefully selected by the teachers keeping in mind the age group of tiny tots. Students were deeply engrossed in the world of stories and developed an understanding of how books can entertain and inspire them. The teachers rekindled the spirit of reading amongst students and the active participation of AVNites was a testimony of their zeal and fervour.
